Davidson Pet Sitters is dedicated to providing the best possible service by hiring people who love and are skilled at taking care of animals. Your pets will be safe in our hands! Read on below to learn more about our team members.
Brian is the current owner of Davidson Pet Sitters. He was an aerospace engineer for 30 years before joining DPS exclusively in 2012. Beyond work, Brian has numerous passions. He enjoys wood working (even having built the DPS desk), gardening, reading, and spending time with his six children and one grandson. He’s excited to be expecting a second grandchild soon. DPS has been a more than a business for Brian. It has been a way to spend time with his family and animals, two groups he values. And after 30 years as an engineer, Brian says “walking a dog who is thrilled to see you beats sitting through a PowerPoint presentation any day!”
Daughter of Davidson Pet Sitters’ founder, Megan was one of the first employees in the company. When she’s not walking dogs, Megan is still always outside, frequently hiking. Along with working for DPS, she teaches yoga and meditation to both groups and individuals at The Meditation Room in Cornelius. Her greatest passion is constantly pushing herself to live her life in a way that benefits others. This reflects perfectly in both of her jobs; yoga and meditation are physically, mentally and emotionally healing and DPS is a helpful service for our community. Megan loves animals and is proud to be a part of the amazing business that her Mom built from scratch!
Amy is a Davidson resident who enjoys hiking, good coffee, and great conversation with friends, making her a Summit Coffee fixture! Along with being an employee of Davidson Pet Sitters, she runs Amy Ellis Photography, a full time wedding and lifestyle photography business all around the state of North Carolina. Amy says her two jobs reflect her passions perfectly; capturing the most important moments and emotions in people’s lives and taking care of animals. The community definitely benefits from her camera and compassion. She says working for DPS gives her the opportunity to spend time with animals, creating strong bonds with many regular clients.
Michelle lives in Davidson with her husband, three children, and three dogs. Along with being an employee of DPS, during the week, she teaches at St. Alban’s Preschool. A few years ago, her oldest daughter got involved with a local animal rescue. This opened her eyes to the overpopulation of animals in our area, the many pets that need homes, and the importance of spaying/neutering animals. Since then, Michelle has fostered several dogs until they were adopted into loving homes, finding it very rewarding to “rescue” dogs from high-kill shelters. She has learned that all they need is love and routine. She enjoys working for DPS because she gets to spend time with animals, making sure they are well cared for while their owners are away.
Becca works for Davidson Pet Sitters, both as a pet sitter and by running the social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram. She enjoys spending time outside with activities such as long boarding, disc golf, and lying in hammocks! Becca is also a freelance writer, working on press releases, event coverage, and other local business promotion. Inspired by her love of animals, she began working for DPS as a way to help. She feels it gives back to the community by giving clients time to do what they need to do and by giving their pets something enjoyable. She loves that at every visit, the customer is always happy to see her.
